It has become a cherished yearly custom for Apple CEO Tim Cook to celebrate Diwali by sharing a photograph taken with the iPhone. This year, Cook continued the tradition by posting a stunning image captured by Delhi-based photographer Rohit Vohra.
In a message shared on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter), Cook remarked, “Diwali symbolizes light, unity, and hope. Sending warm wishes for a joyful and serene Festival of Lights to all celebrating! Captured on the iPhone 16 Pro Max by Rohit Vohra.
Vohra took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Cook for featuring his photograph. “I feel truly honored that #TimCook @apple selected my photo to share this Diwali. Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali. I am truly humbled,” he stated.
The photographer also shared further details regarding the image that Cook posted. “This year, I aimed to capture the personal essence of Diwali, so I chose to photograph the decorations within my own home,” he explained.
He added that photographing in low light can pose challenges, but the new iPhone simplifies the process. “This shot was taken using the standard 1x fusion lens at 24mm. It’s my preferred lens because it’s quick, accurately captures skin tones, and beautifully balances light,” he shared while providing insights about the photograph.
